Woke up to 26 degrees and lots more white frost this am but at least there is finally sunshine! The morning light made me linger a lot longer with my coffee and camera at the window...
The Harris sparrows became brave enough to come to the feeders right outside my window.
Loving that the low morning sunshine lets you capture the light in the bird's eyes.
White-throated sparrow hanging out in the serviceberry bush which is full of flower buds.
I don't know what these small sparrows are...if they are a female version of one of the white's or one of the many other small brown sparrows. Just thankful it's not a house sparrow :)
A White-crowned sparrow also showed off the glint in his eye...
as well as a female downy woodpecker.
A northern flicker came up to the rock for a cool drink, but...
the best sighting of the morning was a Rose-breasted Grosbeak at the back feeder!
I'm looking forward to spotting more spring migrants in the next few weeks as well as getting outside in warmer temps to take photos. Shooting through dirty window glass is hard to focus.

What great pics! I laughed so hard at that first one -- the way the sparrow is checking out the pig on the weather vane. Fun stuff!
Like the northern flicker..you amaze me woman knowing all the species..not counting they all show up at your place!!!
