a case of the Mondays...

I've got a serious case of the "Mondays" today feeling like I still wished it was the weekend but buried under a desk full of paperwork! I haven't blogged in over a week because Jeff and I took a quick "finding spring" vacation to Sedona, AZ and the Grand Canyon. Here's my girls supporting their peek-a-boo cactus shirts and a sneak peek of some vacation photos I'll show later in the week…
As you may have noticed on yesterday's Scripture Sunday, yesterday was also Landon's baptism day…what a special day it was. He looked so handsome in his little white sweater vest outfit.
and Grandma finally got a photo of all three of her "loves" together!
Still haven't managed one of us with all three…the girls cooperated but we are missing Landon…
Have I ever told you how much I enjoy being a grandparent? and traveling? and gardening? Oops, I guess I have since it's the only reasons I blog :)

Thanking God tonight for blessing Landon on his baptism day.

Think spring...

Today, it looks like this outside…
One year ago today I rode my cycle into Louisiana in my shirt sleeves, picnicked and admired the flowers in a botanical park.
There is nothing like looking back at a year ago and then outside to make a person really want Spring. We officially welcome the season on Thursday, if only mother nature followed the calendar here in MN. I'm ready for the first robin, warm weather and green grass…Think Spring!

Tuesday tidbits...

1. We did not know whether Landon was going to be a boy or girl so it was a wonderful surprise to have a grandson.

2. Because of tidbit #1, in the past month I have sewn 3 boy receiving blankets, one boy minkie blanket and 8 boy burp cloths as well as 3 girl receiving blankets & 8 girl burp clothes. I brought them all up north with me for the birth and left all the boy themed items with Landon and gave all the girl themed things to N & T for baby girl foxie arriving in a few months. In the coming week, I will be sewing all the decor for Landon's new nursery with the colors of navy and lime.

3. Baby Boy S is due to arrive any day so I finished up his quilt today and also sewed 3 receiving blankets and 4 more burp cloths to add to the ones I previously gave them.

4. The temperatures have been wonderfully warm the last few days even reaching 50 degrees yesterday. While out and about I saw several people not wearing coats…only in MN is 50 degrees a Heat Wave!

5. I have a serious case of spring fever with the daylight lasting into the evening and the warmer temps.

mosaic Monday…the girls

Nathan, Tammy & Bailey traveled north to see baby Landon this weekend and since I am still helping out at Jayme's I got to spend time with the girls. We had a tea party with frosted animal crackers (Bailey's favorite) and played with all Brooklyn's toys. Her little tent was a huge hit and turned into a gigglefest when they rolled all over the floor in it. It is such a joy to see them play together…if only they didn't live 4 hours apart.

This week...

Jeff & I have been enjoying time getting to know, Landon, our new little grandson!
We also enjoy seeing how much his big sister, Brooklyn, loves him and helping out with him. She says he is "my baby" :)
Can you tell we are proud grandparents?
