more shots of "whitey"...
Here is the shot of him reflected in the morning sunlight...
and here is one from this afternoon.
After seeing this link from Project Feeder Watch, I do think it is a ringed turtle dove. This last shot is when I first spotted him this morning, he is about the same size as the mourning dove on the right side of the watering dish only chubbier.

Marsha, it certainly has the charastics of a mourning dove, but in the pied mutation. Not sure about the shape of that beak and the ring on the neck though. It is beautiful though, hope it stays around for you!
OOPS, 'characteristics'
Hi Marsha,
The eye looks pink in the first two shots which would indicate he could be an albino. Nice shots!
What a beautiful dove! Have never seen a purely, white dove. WOW!!! Your shots are absolutely gorgeous of the little thing!
Whitey is adorable!
Being gone a few days sure makes you miss a lot of good posts...trying to catch up, but so much going on right now with the move in 2 weeks.
LOL:)
Nice pictures, Marsha. The color difference is really striking. I'm glad you've got a good backyard habitat to support this pretty dove.
Beautiful dove - what a great rarity to view!
